Functional medicine
Your labs came back normal, but you still do not feel like yourself. A functional medicine approach looks for the contributing factors behind that, and builds a plan around them.
What it is
Functional medicine asks why a symptom is there, not only what to call it. Dr. Mary Schmidt, DC is a functional medicine chiropractor. She brings together your history, blood chemistry, genetics, nutrition and everyday exposures to find patterns, then explains them in plain language.
What we help with
People often come to us with:
- Ongoing tiredness or low energy
- Digestive discomfort, bloating or irregularity
- Poor sleep or feeling wired and tired
- Stress that seems to show up in the body
- Blood sugar swings and cravings
- Aches and stiffness that keep coming back
We support you with testing, nutrition guidance and chiropractic care where it fits. We work alongside your primary care provider and send you back to them for anything outside our scope.
